About
Zeds Dead took their name from a Pulp Fiction quote, and that cult sensibility runs through everything they do. The Toronto duo, DC (Dylan Mamid) and Hooks (Zachary Rapp Rovan), built their reputation on a genre blending sound that pulls from dubstep, drum and bass, UK garage, hip hop, glitch, and house, often within the same set. Their Bassmentality parties in Toronto gave early stage time to artists like Skrillex and Borgore before those names meant anything, which says a lot about their ear for talent. Their Hot Sauce EP on Mad Decent became a breakout moment, and the Somewhere Else EP landed them on the Billboard 200 with a guest list that included Twin Shadow, Perry Farrell, and Big Gigantic. Lately they have been dropping new tracks including "Sweet Memories" and "Channel Flipping" in late 2024.
