About
Zemma is the project of an Amsterdam vocalist and songwriter who has a real soft spot for heavy underground music. She pulls from experimental rock, metal and a bit beyond, and has grown the project into a four piece band. The music swings between fragile, exposed moments and loud, forceful ones, and that shift is a big part of what makes the live show feel raw and hard hitting. In the database she sits under electronic and experimental electronic, which hints at how far the sound stretches past a standard rock lineup. Think less of a fixed genre and more of a band that follows the mood of a song wherever it needs to go, whether that is quiet and vulnerable or all out intense.
