About
Zeno makes hip hop that pulls from multiple genres, built around a lyrical style his own words describe as visual and poetic. His debut album, 'Aan De Rand Van Het Ravijn Bloeien De Mooiste Bloemen', caught the attention of Het Parool, which called it a beautiful melancholic record that deserves a much wider audience. The writing centers on recognizable, everyday scenes and the kind of self reflection that comes with figuring out who you are. Thematically, Zeno works in what he calls his quarter life era, exploring the push and pull between being young and growing older. Romantic entanglements, a search for direction, and the strange feeling of looking back on moments that once felt ordinary all run through his songs. There is a quiet awareness in his work that everyday life, as it happens, is already becoming memory.
