São Paulo DJ and producer Zerb, born Matheus Zerbini Massa, first got serious attention in 2015 when a cold Facebook message to Vintage Culture turned into a collab remix of ZHU's "Faded" that landed him festival slots at Lollapalooza and Rock in Rio. His sound has always moved around, pulling from deep house, tropical house, and pop depending on the project. The 2018 single "With You" with Giulia Be hit number 9 on the Spotify viral charts, showing he had a knack for the radio friendly side of electronic music. Then came "Mwaki" in 2023, the track that changed everything. Built around vocal packages from Kenyan singer Sofiya Nzau, with lyrics sung in Kikuyu, it spread across TikTok like wildfire and charted all over Europe. Major Lazer and Tiësto both put their own spin on it, and Zerb went from Brazilian festival circuit staple to a genuinely global name. More recently he has released collabs with The Chainsmokers and Rita Ora, keeping the momentum going.
