About
Zeynep Bastık built her following the smart way, by dropping cover versions of songs people already loved. Her take on Ezhel's 'Felaket' was the one that really turned heads, and covers of tracks by artists like Tarkan, Sezen Aksu and Şebnem Ferah kept her name circulating in the Turkish digital music scene. She writes and composes her own material too, including the song 'Çukur' and several tracks on her album Zeynodisco, which blends her feel for pop with electronic textures. Before going solo, Bastık spent years working as a backing vocalist and stage performer, and that experience shows in how comfortably she moves between rock, acoustic and electronic sounds. She has collaborated with composers Emir Can İğrek and Oğuzhan Koç, and even teamed up with the legendary Sezen Aksu on her EP Akustikler. More recently she has kept busy releasing new music, with tracks like 'Lan', 'Kör Sevdam' and 'Uslanmıyor Bu' all arriving in 2025.
