Ziynet Sali is a Turkish Cypriot singer who blends pop with rebetiko and classical Turkish music, a combination that has earned her a devoted following across Turkey and beyond. Born in Nicosia and trained at the Istanbul Technical University Turkish Music State Conservatory, she built her sound across a string of studio albums that mix Turkish and Greek language songs, starting with her 2000 debut Ba Ba and stretching through to No 6 in 2015. Her 2010 non album single "Rüya" was a landmark moment, hitting the top of the Turkish charts for the first time. She has worked with collaborators including Sezen Aksu and Sinan Akçıl, picked up two Turkey Music Awards, and even made her film debut in Son Osmanlı Yandım Ali. More recently, her 2020 album Kalbim Tatilde racked up over 100 million views on YouTube, and in early 2024 she dropped the single "İmkansız Bir Aşk Denir".
