About
Raised on a steady diet of 90s NYC underground rap and local legends, ZWARTEWATER are building on the hip hop tradition of Zwolle one hard hitting release at a time. The trio consists of producer Milan and MCs Goudi and Frodeau, and their sound is exactly what you'd expect from a crew rooted in that lineage: dense, ominous beats paired with raw, razor sharp lyrics. They cover serious ground thematically, moving from global conflict to the battles going on inside your own head, always wrapped in a cryptic but clever delivery. The group has toured alongside Rico and carries itself with the confidence of an act ready to step beyond its regional fanbase.
