The Garnizoenskerk is a former garrison church built in 1626, now owned by the Stichting Oude Groninger Kerken. It serves as a multifunctional village centre, functioning as a concert hall, wedding venue, and polling station. The church is a national monument (Rijksmonument) and is known for its regular concert series, which has been running for over 45 years.
About
The Abel Ensemble brings together violinist Sergiy Bolotny, pianist Keiko Sakuma, oboist Nadine Bults, and clarinetist Joost van Rheeden — four members of the Noord Nederlands Orkest — alongside three additional NNO musicians.
