De Basiliek is an events and concert venue on Wiltonstraat in Veenendaal. The building contains several halls and meeting rooms, which lets it host very different kinds of gatherings under one roof. Visitors have described using it for a vintage guitar show, a conference with a children's area, and a group lunch, so the programme extends well beyond ordinary concert nights. Reviewers mention that the stage has plenty of room for a production to set up, that the seating is good even toward the back, and that the building is clean and has food and drink on site. The concert calendar leans heavily toward tribute shows and established Dutch and international acts. Recent and upcoming listings include ABBA Gold, a Dire Straits tribute, the Pink Floyd Project, Phil It! with its tribute to Phil Collins and Genesis, and the Discophonic Orchestra. Dutch pop and rock names appear as well, among them Jaap Reesema, the Edwin Evers Band, Het Goede Doel and Mr. Jones & Just in Case. De Dijk has also played here on their 40 Jaar De Dijk tour, and setlist archives record a steady run of visits by fans. The range is wide for a town venue. Oslo Gospel Choir has toured through on a Dutch tour, and Celtic Steps has brought an Irish Christmas show in December. Shows generally start in the evening, at 20:00 or 20:30. The sources say little about the building's origins or when it opened, so its history is not covered here, but the current programme shows a venue that is busy through the year and open to pop, rock, gospel, folk and theatre style productions.
