Poppodium Mezz in Breda is a live music venue with a main concert hall accommodating 600 people and a smaller room for intimate performances, many free to attend. The distinctive copper building hosts rock, hiphop, blues, pop, techno and house music. Designed specifically as a pop venue, it features wide rather than deep proportions that place audiences close to the stage, supported by professional lighting and sound systems. The venue operates with a combination of professional staff and volunteers.
About KRS‐One
Growing up homeless in the Bronx, Lawrence Parker turned graffiti tags into a name that would define a whole era of hip hop. KRS One, short for Knowledge Reigns Supreme Over Nearly Everyone, built his foundation alongside DJ Scott La Rock in Boogie Down Productions, dropping the debut album Criminal Minded in 1987.
