Simplon is a live music venue in Groningen located at Boterdiep 69, a five minute walk from the city center. Operating for over 30 years, the venue occupies a former raincoat factory that was converted into a youth cultural space before undergoing major renovation to become a pop music hall. It hosts diverse musical genres including pop, rock, metal, hip hop, urban, punk and house music.

TechNorth returns to Simplon in Groningen on 20 June 2026 for its fifth edition, running from 23:00 to 05:00. The night features a lineup of four DJs — three female and one male — representing Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and the local Groningen scene, delivering intense techno and raw dancefloor energy.
