About Tygers of Pan Tang
Tygers of Pan Tang took their name from a fictional archipelago in Michael Moorcock's Elric fantasy novels, where wizards keep tigers as pets. Formed in Whitley Bay in 1978, they became one of the names of the new wave of British heavy metal.
