Doornroosje in Nijmegen was founded in 1970 as a creative activities center in a squatted school building, initially serving as a gathering place for hippies. The venue became known as one of the first places in the Netherlands where cannabis was openly available. It programmed many bands, often before they achieved wider recognition.
About VroegZat
VroegZat is built around a simple but clever idea: bring the party to the early evening so everyone can still get a decent night's sleep. The concept keeps all the energy of a night out but wraps things up at a sensible hour.
