London art rock band Blue Bendy has announced their second album 'One Day This Will All Be Lore', out on January 29, 2027, alongside the new single 'Dragonslayer'.

London six piece Blue Bendy are returning in early 2027 with their second album, titled 'One Day This Will All Be Lore'. The record drops on 29 January as an exclusive Dinked Edition on vinyl and digitally, preceded by new single 'Dragonslayer', which comes with a homemade video.
The announcement follows a turbulent period in the band's history. After releasing their debut album 'So Medieval', Blue Bendy were forced to cut their UK tour short after just one show, when frontman Arthur Nolan was unable to continue performing due to struggles with alcoholism. Co founders Harrison Charles and Oscar Tebbutt subsequently left the group, and the band went on hiatus. The difficulties kept coming: in 2025, a recovering Nolan fell off the wagon again, ended up stranded in Germany, and came to in a sanatorium in Cologne. That episode found its way into album track 'The Tiger Who Came to Tea'.
With a refreshed lineup, Blue Bendy have gradually made their comeback. Alongside Nolan, the current lineup features Dina Willcock on bass, Tristan Petsola on drums, Joseph Nash on guitar, Oliver Chester Nolan on guitar, and Olivia Morgan on keys. The band worked on the new material while reclaiming their footing on stage through festival appearances and headline shows.
New single 'Dragonslayer' follows in the wonky, guitar driven vein of 'So Medieval', but is reported to have a more direct and melodic feel. Nolan describes the track as an attempt to undermine Arthurian chivalric mythology and place it in a contemporary context. "I was trying to subvert some Arthurian chivalry in a modern context," he says. "Trying to look at Nationalistic mythology wrapped in a tragicomic romantic pop song, and the fantasies that any musician tells themself about fame, living in your own head."
The accompanying video was made by Morgan herself, who used the project as her first foray into filmmaking. "I got a camera earlier this year and decided to try and answer every question i've ever had and analyse why everyone does any of the things they do in a 4 and a half minute sequence of videos," she said. "I've not made a music video before or done much with film at all but I want to learn how to do that so this is experiment one."
The album features nine tracks, including 'Dragonslayer', 'Poke', 'Confession Rock', 'Vocal Fry Academia', and the aforementioned 'The Tiger Who Came to Tea'. The band have also announced shows in London, Manchester and Glasgow. Pre orders are available now.
