Racoon celebrates 30th anniversary with a huge concert at the Ziggo Dome

The Zeeland band Racoon has announced a special concert: on Saturday 2 October 2027, the group will take the stage at the Ziggo Dome to celebrate their thirtieth anniversary. Ticket sales for this milestone concert kick off on Friday 25 September.

Singer Bart van der Weide looks back on three decades of Racoon with a mix of pride and disbelief. "All the clichés are true. Thirty years of Racoon, how though?" he says. "So much heart and soul, tears and laughter, it has flown by. Man, I am so proud of us. Dutch and English go hand in hand for us, who would have ever thought that? People who love music make that happen. Big thanks."

There is no talk of stopping anytime soon. Quite the opposite: "Thirty years? As far as I'm concerned, let's make it sixty," says Bart van der Weide. The band clearly still has plenty of plans for the future.

At the anniversary concert, fans can expect beloved tracks such as Oceaan, Love You More, Het Is Al Laat Toch and No Mercy. The band will also perform new material, including their new single Dicht Bij Het Vuur, which drops on Friday.

For Dutch music lovers, Racoon has been a familiar face for decades. The combination of Dutch and English language songs has earned the band a loyal and wide following. An evening at the Ziggo Dome is therefore a fitting setting for this landmark anniversary.
