The Strokes at Northside 2027, a chance for Best Kept Secret

The Strokes are playing Northside in Denmark in June 2027, the same weekend as Best Kept Secret. That makes a festival show in the Netherlands a real possibility.
The Strokes have confirmed their first festival appearance of 2027. The American band will play Northside on Saturday, June 12, an alternative festival in Aarhus, Denmark, running from June 10 to 12. Turnstile has also already been announced for that edition. Tickets are on sale now and cost 321.08 euros, according to Festileaks.
For Dutch fans, the timing is the interesting part. Northside falls on the same weekend as Best Kept Secret 2027, which makes The Strokes an immediate serious contender for that festival. The band last played there in 2022, so they could be returning after five years. That isn't confirmed yet, and for now it remains speculation around the lineup.
The announcement fits into a bigger picture. The band's current European tour, built around their new album, includes just twelve shows. They're playing London these days and perform Sunday in a sold out Ziggo Dome. According to reports, summer 2027 shows will be added to that, and Northside is the first one to actually be revealed.
It's a notable story for Belgian fans too. The band last played there, and so far only once, in 2002, and with the current run of indoor shows they're skipping Belgium again. In 2020 The Strokes were on the bill at Rock Werchter, but that show never happened, for reasons we all know. With the band in Europe three weeks before Rock Werchter 2027, there's now a chance for a rematch.
If you want to see the band in summer 2027, it's worth keeping an eye on European festival lineups over the coming months. More festival dates are expected to be added.
