About
The Amstelkerk was built between 1668 and 1670 as a temporary wooden church for residents of Amsterdam's expanding canal belt, designed by city architect Daniël Stalpaert. Originally intended to be replaced by a larger stone building, the modest structure remains standing today. After renovation by Stadsherstel Amsterdam, the church now hosts various events including concerts, receptions and lectures.
