About
Backstage opened as a rock café on Bloemerstraat in Nijmegen at the end of 1991. The venue was created to meet demand for a dedicated space playing diverse rock music styles. Early programming featured classic rock acts like Rush, Iron Maiden and AC/DC, while more recent lineups include bands such as Rammstein, Dream Theater and Machine Head alongside continued rotation of older rock classics.
