Openluchttheater Hertme is an open air theater in the village of Hertme in Twente, featuring a medieval setting. Fully restored in 2010, the woodland surrounded venue accommodates over 2,000 visitors and attracts tens of thousands of spectators during the summer months. It hosts a diverse program including children's performances, concerts, theater productions, and regional association performances, with the internationally known Afrika Festival held annually. The theater is run largely by enthusiastic volunteers and is known for its unique atmosphere.
