About
Park Transwijk is a large public park in Utrecht's Kanaleneiland neighborhood, built starting in 1956 and completed in 1964. The park hosts regular events and activities including an annual Liberation Festival, and features a city farm where children can interact with animals. The surrounding Kanaleneiland district, developed in the 1950s to address post war housing shortages, contains green spaces and sports facilities throughout.
