About
Podium Asteriks is a Leeuwarden venue initiative focused on emerging talent, hosting weekly performances by bands and acts from Friesland and surrounding regions alongside visiting artists from the Netherlands and abroad. Based at Blokhuispoort, it also presents shows at Muziekcafé Mukkes and De Gloppe. The venue aims to strengthen Leeuwarden's pop music scene and collaborates with Popfabryk to support new Frisian pop productions. Podium Asteriks is run entirely by volunteers.
