About
A Liquid Landscape grew out of a trio formed in 1999 by brothers Niels and Robert van Dam and Fons Herder in Groningen. They went through a few names and drummers before Coen Speelman joined in 2007, and the current name stuck in 2009. That year they put out the EP Long Lost Traveler themselves, and it did well enough to land them a deal with Glassville Records. The band sits in crossover prog, an art rock mix that has leaned toward the alternative rock sound of the late nineties and early zeroes on their latest record, Rogue Planet. Before that came the albums Nightingale Express and The Largest Fire Known To Man, plus the EP Stories Left Untold. They have played a lot live in the Netherlands and abroad, sharing stages with Anathema, Karnivool, Soen, Thrice, Riverside and Marillion. After a long hiatus they came back with new music.
