About
ABBA the Music is a Dutch live show built around the songbook of Swedish pop legends ABBA. Four female lead vocalists, Mandy Huydts, Sarina Kay, Froukje Kits and Monique van der Ster, front a nine piece band through two hours of hits. The show is titled 'From Waterloo to Dancing Queen' and covers all the big ones: 'Waterloo', 'Mamma Mia', 'Chiquitita', 'Money Money Money', 'SOS', 'Voulez Vous' and 'Dancing Queen', among others. The group describe themselves as neither a tribute band nor a musical, but a concert experience in which the music and story of ABBA come alive. They have played to packed houses including a sold out show at Rotterdam's Ahoy arena, which says something about how broadly this material still lands across generations.
