Addison Rae turned a TikTok following of tens of millions into a genuinely interesting pop music career, which is a harder trick than it sounds. Her 2024 single "Diet Pepsi", released through Columbia Records, was the moment things clicked critically, earning a platinum certification and landing her first spot on the Billboard Hot 100. The song's woozy, trip hop tinged production signaled she was aiming somewhere more offbeat than the average teen pop lane. She also linked up with Charli XCX on a remix of "Von Dutch" and appeared on A. G. Cook's album Britpop, which said a lot about the creative circles she was moving in. Her debut album Addison dropped in 2025 and debuted at number four on the Billboard 200, which for a former social media personality turned serious artist is no small thing. It was preceded by singles including "Aquamarine", "High Fashion", "Headphones On" and "Fame Is a Gun". She performed "Aquamarine" at Coachella alongside Arca and celebrated the album's release with a live show at New York City's The Box.
