Slovak born and Los Angeles bred, ADÉLA makes pop music that she describes as an exaggerated, over the top version of her own life, with lyrics that lean hard into sexual expression and self confidence. After competing on Hybe and Geffen's 2023 reality series Dream Academy, she struck out on her own and dropped her debut single "Homewrecked" in September 2024, which Out magazine called one of the best singles of its release week. Things escalated fast: her 2025 track "MachineGirl" was co produced by Grimes, who heard the song on TikTok and reached out directly, and its video co starred Sofia Wylie with a Grimes cameo. Signing with Capitol Records in May 2025 marked a clear gear shift. Her debut EP The Provocateur landed in August 2025, complete with a "SexOnTheBeat" video featuring Christina Aguilera. She cites Beyoncé and Lady Gaga as her biggest influences and counts Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, and Aretha Franklin among the voices that shaped how she sings.
