About
Formed in Iceland in 2007, ADHD built their sound around instrumental jazz rock and have kept it remarkably consistent ever since. What started as a one off gig at a blues festival turned into a prolific recording project, with their self titled debut winning Icelandic Jazz Album of the Year and three follow up records earning Nordic Music Prize nominations. The four piece, featuring saxophone, guitars, Hammond organ, Moogs, Rhodes piano, and drums, records their albums live to capture the energy of their performances. That approach has served them well across nine records, from ADHD in 2009 through to ADHD 9 in 2024. Few acts manage to sustain that kind of output while keeping the music tight, and this band pulls it off.
