About
ADMT, real name Adam Taylor, turned an acoustic cover of 50 Cent's "Best Friend" into his big break. After it blew up online and 50 Cent gave it his approval, he put out a full version that brought him global attention. The Doncaster singer songwriter blends R&B beats with pop hooks and calls his sound "Donny Swag", a nod to his roots. His lyrics get personal, touching on mental health, loneliness and resilience, with Ed Sheeran, Stevie Wonder and James Brown among his reference points. He started releasing music in 2020, picked up early support from Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 6 Music, and followed up with the EPs "Lost" and "Without You". He built his name live too, busking in Manchester, Sheffield and Leeds before supporting James Arthur and Anne Marie and playing Reading & Leeds, British Summer Time, Y Not and Boardmasters. In 2025 he signed to BMG and released "Come Along" as his first single for the label.
