Swedish DJ and producer Alesso built his reputation fast. Born Alessandro Lindblad in Stockholm, he caught the attention of Sebastian Ingrosso of Swedish House Mafia back in 2011, and the two quickly collaborated on "Calling", which hit number 2 on the Beatport charts. That same year, his remix of Nadia Ali's "Pressure" debuted at number 1 on The Hype Machine and became one of the most played EDM tracks of 2011. Madonna called him "the next big thing in dance music" and invited him to open select dates on her MDNA Tour. Alesso went on to rack up serious festival credentials, playing Coachella, Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival and Creamfields. His collaboration with Calvin Harris and Hurts, "Under Control", pulled in 88 million views, and his single "Heroes (We Could Be)" with Tove Lo became a genuine international hit. His debut album Forever came out in 2015 on Def Jam Recordings, making him only the second EDM producer to sign with the label after Afrojack. Since then he has kept a steady run of collaborations going, working with Hailee Steinfeld, Anitta, Zara Larsson and Katy Perry among others.
