About
Alida Dors is a choreographer whose work sits at the intersection of dance, theatre, and music. In the collaborative project Immortal Dance, she teams up with composer Isis van der Wel to create an immersive audiovisual performance that deliberately blurs the line between audience and artists. Visitors are guided through a theatrical entrance designed to shift their state of mind before the dancing even begins, shedding the everyday before stepping into the experience. The show takes its audience through a series of moments that reflect on what dance fundamentally is, with particular attention to the roots and recent history of contemporary dance and club culture.
