Formed through Mnet's reality competition Boys II Planet, Alpha Drive One hit the ground running in a way few K pop debuts manage. The eight member Seoul group, managed by WakeOne and often going by ALD1, made their first public appearance at the 2025 MAMA Awards performing their pre release single "Formula". Their debut EP Euphoria dropped January 12, 2026, with lead single "Freak Alarm" leading the charge. The wins came fast: after taking the top spot on Show Champion just nine days after debut, they swept Music Bank, Show! Music Core, and Inkigayo, making them the first boy group in nine years to win on all three terrestrial music shows with a debut track. More recently, they put out the digital single "No School Tomorrow", featuring "OMG!" and "Good Life", a prologue to their second EP. Their fandom, known as Allyz, has been along for the ride since the group racked up a million Instagram followers within a week of launching their account.
