About
Altoooooh! is a DJ night built around alternative music that actually makes you move. The concept covers a wide range of styles: indie, grunge, electro, postpunk, wave, britpop, old school hiphop, ska and crossover, all served up in a single evening. The selectors dig across four decades, pulling from the 80s and 90s as well as more recent alternative acts, so you might hear The Cure followed by Nirvana followed by Fontaines D.C. without it feeling forced. The crew behind the decks includes DJs theLEONking and Kees, both also known from Kobus Zeeland. TheLEONking is additionally associated with a music quiz at Puik Bieren. The mix leans toward the familiar but sneaks in lesser known gems alongside the crowd pleasers, keeping things unpredictable enough to hold your attention for a full night of dancing.
