About
Anarbor started out in a garage in the Phoenix suburb of Ahwatukee back in 2003, and by the time they signed to Hopeless Records in 2008 they were still in high school. That debut signing paid off fast: their first Hopeless release, The Natural Way, debuted at number six on the Billboard Top Singles Album Chart. Their sound sits squarely in rock and pop punk territory, though the 2020 Tangerine EP signalled a clear shift toward a poppier direction. Along the way they picked up some unlikely TV placements, writing the theme for Scooby Doo! The Mystery Begins and landing their track "Let the Games Begin" on SportsCenter, Good Day L.A., and an NFL kickoff show on NBC. Now a duo of vocalist and bassist Slade Echeverria and guitarist Danny Stravers, the band has kept things moving independently since leaving Hopeless Records after their 2013 album Burnout. Their 2016 self titled record, four studio albums deep at that point, was released without a label. Most recently they put out the full length Love and Drugs in 2022, backed by a run of singles, and teamed up with Sammy Adams for the track "EMERGENCY" in 2023.
