Belgian duo Arsenal, made up of Hendrik Willemyns and John Roan, have been quietly building one of the more eclectic catalogs in European electronic music since their debut EP landed in 1999. Their track 'A Volta' ended up on the final episode of HBO's Six Feet Under, and their second album Outsides went Platinum in Belgium, no small feat for a pair who blend African rhythms, Latin grooves, hip hop, and rock into a single record. The guest list across their nine albums reads like a genuinely curious music fan's dream: Grant Hart of Hüsker Dü, Shawn Smith of Brad, John Garcia of Kyuss, and Johnny Whitney of The Blood Brothers have all shown up. Their single 'Melvin' earned a five star rave in Mixmag and Kanye West called their album Lotuk 'Amazing!!!' Live, they've headlined Rock Werchter and sold out the Lotto Arena, which tells you everything about their standing in Belgium.
