Few dansbands can say they've stood on a Eurovision stage, but Arvingarna pulled it off in 1993 when their song "Eloise" won Melodifestivalen and sent them to Millstreet, Ireland, where they finished 7th. The Gothenburg group has been together since 1989, and the name says a lot about who they are: "The Heirs", a nod to the fact that the members' parents were also active in the dansband world. Their sound blends dansband with pop and rock, and they've been compared to a boyband more than once. The core lineup of Casper Janebrink, Lars Larsson, Kim Carlsson and Tommy Carlsson has stayed intact from day one, which is pretty rare. They've kept coming back to Melodifestivalen too, competing in 1993, 1995, 1999, 2002, 2019, 2021 and 2025. Their 2021 entry "Tänker inte alls gå hem" qualified directly for the final from the first heat, proof that after more than three decades they still have a fanbase that shows up.
