Ashley Cooke put herself on the map with "Never Til Now," a duet with Brett Young that became her debut single under Big Loud in 2022 and cracked the Billboard Country Airplay chart. The Parkland, Florida singer had already been building a following independently before the label came calling, and she brought that groundwork with her into her major label era. Her second studio album, Shot in the Dark, dropped in July 2023 with an ambitious 24 tracks and a guest list that spans Colbie Caillat, Nate Smith, and Jackson Dean. The lead single "Your Place" followed later that year, and iHeartRadio picked her for their On the Verge program. More recently, she released "baby blues," which has been getting some real traction at country radio.
