About
Also known as: 아스트로
Astro came together through Fantagio's rookie program and a web drama, then spent months busking covers and doing fan meetings around South Korea before their debut was even announced. It worked: their showcase sold out in under a minute. The six piece debuted in February 2016 with the EP Spring Up and lead single "Hide & Seek", and Billboard soon named them one of the best new K pop acts of the year. Their early run was built around a four seasons project, with EPs like Summer Vibes and Autumn Story, before 2017 brought Dream Part.01 and Dream Part.02, which included the lead single "Crazy Sexy Cool". A long gap followed in 2018 amid label issues, and the group came back in 2019 with their first studio album, All Light. They later released videos like "Blue Flame" and "Knock". The group is now a four piece made up of MJ, Jinjin, Cha Eun woo and Yoon San ha.
