About
Atomic Aggressor are one of the founding names in Chilean death metal, having kicked things off in Santiago back in 1985. Their early sound drew heavily from Celtic Frost and Trouble, and that raw, underground energy showed up right away on their 1989 demo Bloody Ceremonial, a four track release that moved over a thousand copies and put them on the map both locally and abroad. After splitting in 1992 due to lineup troubles, they came back together in 2007 and recorded Rise of the Old Ones, followed by Sights of Suffering in 2014 on Hells Headbangers and Rawforce Records. The EP Invoking the Primal Chaos arrived in 2019, showing the band still has plenty of momentum. Playing at a Slayer concert in 2011 stands out as a career highlight, and they hold the distinction of performing the southernmost metal show in Chile at the Natales Metal Fest in Puerto Natales in 2015.
