Pete Doherty put Babyshambles together in London while he was on the outs with the Libertines, and what started as a side project quickly became a band with serious weight of its own. Their debut, Down in Albion, was produced by Mick Jones of the Clash and landed in the UK Albums Chart Top 10, with the single Fuck Forever peaking at number four. The lineup shifted around a lot in those early years, but the core of Doherty on vocals, Mick Whitnall and Drew McConnell settled into a solid unit. Shotter's Nation followed in 2007, produced by Stephen Street, best known for his work with Blur, and hit number five in the UK. Their third album, Sequel to the Prequel, arrived in 2013 and showed the band still had plenty of momentum, charting at number ten.
