About
Best known in Flanders as a TV personality, Bart Peeters has always had music running through everything he does. He made his name as the frontman of The Radios, the band behind the 1991 international hit She Goes Nana, and spent years as the drummer for The Clement Peerens Explosition, a parody rock band that grew out of his cult radio show Het Leugenpaleis. His solo career took shape properly in 2004 with Het Plaatje van Bart Peeters, and he built from there with a run of Dutch language albums that landed him firmly in the kleinkunst and pop singer songwriter space. De Hemel in het Klad went straight to number one on the Flemish charts in 2008, and De Ideale Man followed in 2010 the year he won a Music Industry Award for best Dutch language artist. After a break, he returned in 2014 with Op de Groei, and has kept releasing music since, including Brood voor morgenvroeg in 2017.
