Also known as: Bayli McKeithan
Before going solo, Bayli McKeithan was the lead vocalist of Brooklyn rock band The Skins, a group she formed with her siblings and friends that got signed by Rick Rubin and was named one of Rolling Stone's top ten new artists to know in 2016. When The Skins went on hiatus in 2018, she stepped out on her own and quickly found her lane in R&B and pop, releasing a string of singles and her debut EP Stories from New York in 2021. That project tied together personal New York City stories, including the track "16", which became a memorial for her mother. Her 2022 single "Telly Bag", a breezy ode to the Telfar bag, caught serious attention and was called a "gay anthem" by BroadwayWorld, while The Fader ran it as a Song You Need. She followed up with her second EP Stories 2 and a supporting tour with Magdalena Bay. Bayli identifies openly as queer and brings that perspective front and center in her work, with collaborators ranging from Junglepussy and Sophie to Gia Woods.
