Vancouver's bbno$ has a knack for making rap that's equal parts silly and genuinely catchy, something he's called "oxymoronic rap" that is "ignorant but melodic". His 2019 single "Lalala" with Y2K was the breakthrough, racking up over a billion streams worldwide and earning a triple platinum certification in the US, partly thanks to a scrappy, multi platform marketing push across TikTok, Tinder, Instagram, and even Craigslist. His mixtape cut "Edamame" with Rich Brian later got a second life when it landed in the trailer for The Garfield Movie. Over the years he's built a loose creative universe with frequent collaborator Yung Gravy, with whom he's now put out three Baby Gravy projects. More recently he dropped his self titled album in late 2025, which includes "1 800", a collab with VTuber Ironmouse, and he even staged an in game concert inside the video game Peak. He won the Juno Fan Choice Award in both 2025 and 2026, which says a lot about how devoted his fanbase has become.
