About
Tamer Malki and Rami Abousabe make up Bedouin, a US based DJ and production duo whose sound sits at the crossroads of their Middle Eastern roots and Western influences. That fusion runs through everything they do, from tribal and organic textures to melodic, emotive grooves. Their releases have landed on respected labels including Crosstown Rebels, All Day I Dream, and Circoloco Records, as well as their own imprint Human by Default. A few moments stand out in their career: Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason personally endorsed their 2017 cover of "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun", and their Ibiza residency Bedouin Saga was voted Best Night in Ibiza at the DJ Awards in 2019. They've played Burning Man, Coachella, and Tomorrowland, and their hybrid live set recorded at Petra, Jordan for Cercle in 2022 earned serious praise. Two BBC Radio 1 Essential Mixes, collaborations with Black Coffee and Virgil Abloh, and a string of strong remixes round out a consistently impressive body of work.
