Pianist and bandleader Bernd van den Bos built a theatre concert around his admiration for Freddie Mercury, reimagining Queen's catalogue entirely on piano. Songs like Bohemian Rhapsody, Somebody To Love, We Are The Champions and Love Of My Life get the treatment, sometimes played close to the originals, sometimes recast in a classical style that reflects the shared passion both Bernd and Mercury had for classical music. In between numbers, Bernd shares personal stories and lesser known anecdotes about the Queen frontman, giving the show a warm, intimate feel that goes well beyond a standard tribute act.
