About
Also known as: Jessica Smyth
Biig Piig, the stage name of Jessica Smyth, performs a blend of indie pop and R&B that slips between English and Spanish with an ease that reflects her upbringing split between Ireland, Spain, and West London. Her 2017 COLORS session for "Vice City" was the moment everything clicked, racking up over nine million YouTube views and putting her on the radar of anyone paying attention to that side of the London underground scene. She built momentum through a trilogy of EPs across 2018 and 2019, signed to RCA Records, and kept stacking up streams, with singles like "Switch", "Don't Turn Around" and "Feels Right" combining for over 60 million plays. After the mixtape Bubblegum in 2023, she released her debut album 11:11 in early 2025, a long time coming for an artist who had been quietly shaping her sound for nearly a decade. She has collaborated with Metronomy, co written with Maverick Sabre, and opened for Glass Animals on their Dreamland tour. The name Biig Piig, she has said, frees her to be a mess or pull it all together, and that tension runs right through her music.
