Bitchin Bajas

Popularity
Bitchin Bajas has one upcoming show in the Netherlands: on November 8, 2026 at TivoliVredenburg, Utrecht.
About
Cooper Crain runs Bitchin Bajas as a side project alongside his work as guitarist and organist in the Chicago band Cave, with Dan Quinlivan and Rob Frye rounding out the trio. Their sound pulls from ambient, drone, krautrock and new age territory, landing somewhere spacious and hypnotic. Since their debut Tones & Zones in 2010, they have built up a serious catalogue that stretches across a dozen albums and counting. Some of their most interesting work has come through collaboration. They teamed up with Natural Information Society for Automaginary and later Totality, ventured into stranger folk territory with Bonnie Prince Billy on Epic Jammers and Fortunate Little Ditties, and paired with filmmaker Olivia Wyatt on Sailing a Sinking Sea. Their music has also found its way onto BBC Radio. With Bajascillators in 2022 and two more releases in 2025, they show no signs of slowing down.
