About
Black Pistol Fire is a two piece that makes a lot more noise than two people should. Kevin McKeown handles guitar and lead vocals, Eric Owen sits behind the drums, and together they blend classic southern rock with garage punk. The Canadian born duo is now based in Austin. Things really kicked off around Deadbeat Graffiti in 2017, when Consequence of Sound picked them as the best performance at Voodoo Fest and named them the best early day wake up call at Riot Fest. In 2018 "Lost Cause" hit number one on Canadian rock airplay, with "Bully" reaching number five. They have kept the albums coming since Big Beat '59 in 2012, including Don't Wake the Riot, Look Alive (whose title track landed on the Billboard Alternative Airplay chart), and Flagrant Act of Bliss, listed for 2026.
