About
Black Pride Ball Amsterdam brings the world of ballroom culture onto the concert stage, and their collaboration with Amsterdam Sinfonietta is a striking example of what that looks like in practice. Working alongside the FOR ALL QUEENS! collective and conducted by Zelda Fitzgerald and Candida Thompson, they merged classical orchestral music with ballroom performance on a T shaped catwalk, moving across a repertoire that stretched from Mahler to Gloria Gaynor's I Will Survive. The result was framed as a tribute to both the ballroom scene and the broader celebration of diversity and queer expression.
