About
Blair Davie is a Scottish singer songwriter who puts raw, emotional vocals at the front of everything. The songs sit somewhere between folk and pop, and the lyrics get personal: coming out, love, loss, heartbreak, and the odd moment of beauty life throws in. It's the kind of writing that tends to hit people right in the chest. Davie lists Dermot Kennedy, Dodie and Bon Iver among the artists who shaped that sound. The gravelly, exposed delivery has earned the occasional comparison to fellow Scot Lewis Capaldi. On record, there's the EP First and Last, which shows off both the voice and the songwriting, and the single So What?, which is lined up for the EP You Like Ugly, Don't You Babe?
