About
Blue Grass Boogieman has spent 35 years carving out a reputation as the best known bluegrass group in the Netherlands, picking up multiple awards along the way. Their touring has taken them well beyond Dutch borders, across Europe and into the United States, the birthplace of the music they play. Everything they do is entirely acoustic and rooted in a handcrafted, heartfelt approach to bluegrass and country. One of their notable projects is a theatre show called Portraits of the Past, built around portraits by Dutch comic artist Erik Kriek, weaving together music and anecdotes about the colourful figures who shaped bluegrass and country history.
