About
Blushing is a dream pop and shoegaze act out of Austin, Texas, made up of two couples: Michelle Soto and Jacob Soto alongside Christina Carmona and Noe Carmona. That setup gives their sound something genuinely tight knit, and the music backs it up. Their 2022 album Possessions pulled in some serious company during production, with Elliott Frazier of Ringo Deathstarr at the helm and Mark Gardener of Ride lending a hand. The standout track "Blame" features Miki Berenyi of Lush, who came on board after hearing the band's cover of her song "Out of Control." That kind of lineage speaks to where Blushing sit in the shoegaze and dream pop world. More recently they have been releasing new videos including "Silver Teeth" and "Seafoam", keeping things active on Kanine Records.
